Your finished cake will be delivered to your venue the morning of the wedding. I will complete the cake set up, ensuring all necessary information has been passed to the venue co-ordinator. Leaving you to have the most wonderful day.
Once your beautiful cake is designed and finalised an order form will be sent to you to check and approve. The final balance for your wedding cake will be due eight weeks before your wedding date. I will liaise with your florist and wedding venue to ensure everything is perfect for your big day.
If you are happy with this quote, a £100 booking fee is required to secure your date. A zoom consultation will then be booked approximately six months before the wedding to discuss the style, design and flavours in more detail. A taster box will also be sent to you to assist in the decision making process.
To begin with, please contact Layers & Graces (L&G) with details of your big day; this can be done via email or using my contact form. Once I have these, I can then check availability for the date you require and provide you with an estimated quote.
The number of guests that you will cater for will determine the size of your cakes. Every cake I create is completely bespoke, so it is difficult to have a set price list. To enable you to get an idea, the below starting price list has been created as a guide.
Decorations including fresh flowers, sugar flowers, ruffles, metallic effects and stencilling will all be at an additional cost.

The majority of my enquiries start 12-18 month before the wedding date. If you have your venue booked then this is an ideal time to get in touch and secure your date.
Yes! When you book in with me I will send you a taster box to help choose your cake flavours. I also offer the option to purchase a taster box before booking. This allows you to try my cake before you book (although I am unable to hold dates).
Yes, I require a £100 booking fee to be paid to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance is then due eight weeks before the wedding. If you haven't had a taster box this is included in the booking fee along with a zoom call to discuss your cake design.
Yes! As part of your initial quote I will advise my delivery and set up fee for your venue. I will deliver and set up your wedding cake the morning of your wedding cake so it is ready for you when you arrive!
As a general rule I advise to cater for 75-80% of your guest numbers. The portion size I ask venues to cut the cake into is 1"x1"x5". You can of course choose a smaller or larger cake. I also offer faux tiers if you want a bigger cake without the additional cake to eat.
Yes, I have lots of various cake stands and filler tiers which can be hired for a small fee. I request a security deposit on top of the fee which is returned once the hired items are received back within 5 days of the wedding.
